The JustAskMarc “Bodcast” Podcast:
Hi, I’m Marc David and I’m the Marc behind JustAskMarc! I’m also an author of fitness books.
I started podcating back in 2005 before it even really became a thing. At that time, I created well over 200 episodes with a few big name guests here and there. I took a short hiatus when I started other fitness sites. Recently, the sheer amount of blogs and fitness podcasts blew me away. While some of them are great, many of them just spread the worst possible advice! That’s when I decided that even with so much competition, there were people who genuinely needed some guidance and not to get caught up in the marketing drama that surrounds this industry. With that said, I came back to the podcast and will be adding all past and future episodes.
It’s a real pleasure to be broadcasting (speaking/shouting) and otherwise trying to guide you thru this terribly confusing world people call Health and Fitness (or bodybuilding, Crossfit, Yoga, etc). While I cannot profess to know everything even after 20 years, I can be your guide and help you out when you are stuck. If I don’t know the answer, maybe I know somebody who does or a reference that might be useful.
What People Are Saying about Marc David
I just recently found out about podcasts through Apple’s iTunes and I am very excited to have found yours. I did not even know about your website and forums until Apple came out with their links to several podcasts. You are asking if your podcasts do anything, and my answer is they are great. I have very much enjoyed them, especially these last couple of days with your answers to certain questions. I find them highly entertaining and listen to every new one I get immediately. Great job on what you are doing. Please keep them coming.
Just listened to you repeating 572 times that if you don’t track what you eat.. you’re wasting your time….
I had a rough idea that I needed about 2098 calories per day but the protein balance was/is all wrong. Been on about 77-88 grams per day (thanks to fitday.com) and should be on about 165 grams… so it’s no mystery that I am 33 and there is something around my waist that should not be there… I’ve been doing the calories but in carbs…the coin’s dropped!
Thanks for a great podcast and yeah, repeat away… it takes a bit of listening to get the message.
Take care and happy training.
I just wanted to say thanks for the podcast. I recently installed iTunes and found your podcast.
I enjoyed the Top Ten sites podcasts.
I would like to hear more diet related info.
The other info you already have up is really great.
I have been bodybuilding for about 6 months. I’m having trouble losing the fat but I have gained muscle. I train 4 or 5 days a week so I am able to do strength training and aerobics stuff.
If you have any suggestions on how to drop the fat, please let me know.
Listened to your podcast, and I think you have a great idea. What i would like to hear is some inspriational kinda motivational area b/c I know when I am trying to lose weight and get in shape I get so frustrated around the 2nd week or so… just a thought-
Keep it up. The podcast is appreciated.
I also enjoy your site…I would have never found it without the podcast.
I am a recently subscribed to the JustAskMarc Podcast listener from Germany and I just caught up with all of your shows. I just wanted to thank you very much for your awesome service. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much for answering my question on your podcast. Your podcast is truly the best podcast on fitness! You might want to ask your listeners to go to http://www.podcastalley.com to vote for your podcast, so that more people hear about it and profit from your great information.
Your podcast is great, you are very talkative, you should go on with it.
Greetings from Belgium, Tim
I found your podcast on itunes. Thanks for taking the time to do it.
I’d love to hear more specifics like “how to build up your chest”. My other comment is — please get a better microphone!
I’ve been listening to the podcast for a while now, and went and listened on some of the older episodes. I especially like the episode that pointed me to the 5 Star Arm workouts. There is a LOT of fitness information available on the internet, and a lot of it is contradictory. So when I find some good information, it’s especially good. It’s almost like the pod cast helps weed out some of the bad info, and showcases some of the best. And don’t be shy about talking about websites other than your own. If we are already subscribed to your podcast, you shouldn’t need to worry about the traffic.
One thing I don’t like, is that I remember one case where you recommended a certain book. I’ve seen this book advertised on your sites, and links from your site, and all over the place. Personally, I don’t trust places that constantly are advertising the latest fat loss/muscle gaining craze/pill. I just mean for advertisements, to be clearly labeled as so, which for the most part it seems like you are already doing that.
Hey Marc, just tuned into your podcast for the first time from iTunes. Thanks for the pointer to Tom Ventuo’s blog. Look forward to other new topics.
My current goals are adding mass and trimming down. Got back into bodybuilding about a year ago after a 4 year hiatus.
